Terms & Conditions
The agreement, in plain language.
These terms cover registering for and attending the Moab Photography Symposium. By registering, you're agreeing to them.
Last updated June 17, 2026
1. Registering
Registration is for the April 26–29, 2027 symposium in Moab, Utah. When you register, you confirm that the details you provide are accurate and that you're booking your own place (or have the permission of the person you're booking for). Places are limited and confirmed in the order they're paid.
2. Payment
A $595 initial payment reserves your place and is applied toward your total. The remaining balance is automatically charged to the same card 120 days before the event, on Dec. 27, 2026; we send a reminder beforehand and you can update your card before then. The price is the amount shown at registration. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
3. Cancellations, refunds & transfers
If your plans change, our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains exactly what applies — the refund tiers, the processing fee, and how to transfer your place to someone else. It's the authoritative version, so we keep the details there rather than repeating them here.
4. Participation waiver
Every registered attendee signs a standard liability and participation waiver before arriving. It covers participation in field sessions, outdoor activities, and the symposium generally, and it includes your consent to be photographed and recorded (see below). We send it digitally with your confirmation package, roughly six weeks before the event, and it must be completed before arrival. If you'd like to review the waiver before registering, just ask.
5. Photography & media
This is a photography event, and there are cameras everywhere. Photos and video are taken throughout — including during the PhotoJAM evenings, where attendees share images with the group — and we may use event photography to share and promote future symposiums. The specifics of your consent are part of the participation waiver you sign. If you have concerns about how your image is used, tell us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
6. Changes to the program
We build the program with care, but details can shift. Presenters, the schedule, and field-session specifics may change, and field sessions run in the conditions the desert gives us. We'll always aim to deliver an equivalent experience. In the unlikely event we have to cancel the symposium entirely, our Refund & Cancellation Policy covers what you'll receive back.
7. Conduct
We want this to be a welcoming, respectful gathering for everyone. By attending, you agree to our Code of Conduct.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
